Would going from 14/43 gearing to a 40 on the back make launching in 2nd easier? I gotta rev to the moon to leave in 2nd currently. Any thoughts? I dont do any serious drag, just play drags here and there. But it would be nice to have a setup thats good for that every now and again as far as gearing. So the oposite of each would be the othe way around.. so if I go 40 on the back it will make it harder to take off in 2nd like I inquired about? Going smaller on the back sprocket will make launching in 2nd harder. Stock gearing is 14/41, but a 13/41 would make launching in 2nd gear much easier, but it will also make all of the gears shorter, and decrease your top speed. Hell you should be able to almost take off in 3rd with 14/43! I was kinda implying that you were heavy without saying it. Worked fine. I did have to Rev It to hell to brake loose the pro wedges but it worked.
