electrical troubleshooting help please

Recommended Posts

just rebuild the sheet and currently has weak spark if any like I'll get something every 5 kicks or so so here's what I've tested so far

Ignition coil red and green wire 19.3 ohms

pick up coil red white and green white wires 116.8 ohms

lighting coil black and yellow wire 1.3 ohms

primary coil the orange and black wire 1.3

and I could not figure out the secondary coil connection I wasn't getting a reading no matter what way I tried I read you go plug end to plug end and plug end to ground idk just looking for some help I'm leaning towards my coil I think it should be like .3 but I'm not sure any input is more then welcome

you should have between 4,700 and 7,100 Ohms  spark plug wire to spark plug wire.

If the secondary side test shows an open circuit (infinite resistance), remove the spark plug cap and test directly to the wire, if you then get the right resistance, replace the spark plug cap and test again; if it's still infinite the cap is bad. If you still show an open circuit at the end of the spark plug wire, remove the wire at the coil and test again; if it is still infinite Ohms, the coil is shot, if not the spark plug wire probably is bad.
