Buster91dg Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 Is it ok to be real pingy in mid range no bog. But just doesn't sound good. I'm using 30 pilot and last clip down for needle position. Any ideas Quote
Buster91dg Posted August 8, 2016 Author Report Posted August 8, 2016 *****actually it was really pingy on the 4th clip down so I then put it on the last clip then it seemed ok but more on the richer side Quote
special06shee Posted August 10, 2016 Report Posted August 10, 2016 Usually a lean condition will translate to a deep hollow drown sound if that makes sense. Rich usually is a spit n sputter effect. Quote
Buster91dg Posted August 10, 2016 Author Report Posted August 10, 2016 It's like a sputter prob off 1/8 throttle Quote
special06shee Posted August 10, 2016 Report Posted August 10, 2016 Put a 27.5 pilot in. If that dont help, play with needles. When i ran stock carbs i could never get my shit to run nice and clean in the trails until i switched to toomey needles. Im a big fan of them for stock carbs. They are much longer then a stock needles and also the taper is much longer. A lot more tunable vs stock Quote
Buster91dg Posted August 10, 2016 Author Report Posted August 10, 2016 I think I may have some are these it? Quote
Buster91dg Posted August 10, 2016 Author Report Posted August 10, 2016 No markings on them though and I have 30 pilots 180 mains just put it on last clip now it seems like it too rich Quote
Strm Trpr Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Lower the needle clips one groove and do a rip and report back. Lowering the clips will raise the needle and richen the mid-range. Quote
