I just did a full carb rebuild kit from boss bearing. My main jets are 280. Pilot 30. Stock needle 4th clip down for top. Air screws are 1.5. List of mods -K&n no air box lid w outter wears over air box -boyessen power reed pedals -bored .020 over -FMF fattys full echaust -boost bottle Any one with a similar set up? If so what are you running in your carb? Quote

sleeper06 Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Sounds like a 250r, have you done a plug chop Quote
Buster91dg Posted August 5, 2016 Author Report Posted August 5, 2016 The sound clip isn't working for me for some reason and no I have not last time I checked the plugs they were a golden brown in color Quote
sleeper06 Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Those jets are pretty much what I put in every setup like that Quote
Buster91dg Posted August 5, 2016 Author Report Posted August 5, 2016 Some times has a little stutter wen you punch it but it's not all the time. I feel like mid range could be a little better maybe I should try the last clip on the needle? Quote
bigweav81 Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Are your carbs synced, or fairly close? Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk Quote
sleeper06 Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Some machines I tune do require a diffrent needle to get me happy on the mid , might wanna try toomey needle if u can't get desired results with oem Quote
Buster91dg Posted August 5, 2016 Author Report Posted August 5, 2016 Some machines I tune do require a diffrent needle to get me happy on the mid , might wanna try toomey needle if u can't get desired results with oem Well I just got done installing my 13t front sprocket some water came out of my stator cover the gasket was leaking maybe that has something to do with what I was feeling. I also put 2 new plugs in and made them the same gap and rode for maybe 15 min it seemed ok the quad seemed way more pleasurable to ride in the woods Quote
sleeper06 Posted August 6, 2016 Report Posted August 6, 2016 Can't go by those plugs if you idled around or putted on them, water in the cover will do it, it will short the pickup and windings, I would pull flywheel scotchbrite everything and figure out the water issue Quote
Buster91dg Posted August 6, 2016 Author Report Posted August 6, 2016 I caught it just in time nothing was rusty in there Quote
