dave5.0 Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 Juse slapped a 421 serval together with 28s. 155 main 52 pilots. Runs like a top. Plugs a little dark. Just like I like em. Quote
JordyRoo Posted July 7, 2016 Author Report Posted July 7, 2016 Got some issues to figure out then. Thats what im asking. What could the issues be ? Quote
guns4children Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 You have a temp gauge? You look at your impeller to make sure it's actually working? Quote
JordyRoo Posted July 7, 2016 Author Report Posted July 7, 2016 I havent got a temp gauge no. Ill drain out the coolant tomorrow & check the pump. Quote
sleeper06 Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 I've run into similar issue your having, and in my conversations with other builders they've had a cpl. I've had 2 instances where engines with fresh builds good electronics took every last bit of fuel I woul give it. Both instances the bikes had fmf fatties. Quote
sleeper06 Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 What I'm getting at , the pipe might not bee rite for port work , or portwork itself not scavenging correctly. Again it's not common but happens Quote
JordyRoo Posted July 7, 2016 Author Report Posted July 7, 2016 I see, these are the gnarleys which is more of a low end pipe. It feels real close with a 48 pilot & a 180 main. Small hiccup when warm about 3quarters of the revs. I did raise needle one clip so ill drop that back to middle & see how it goes. Plenty of pull & power throughout. Gotta put a bigger front sprocket on as it tops out too quick lol. Quote
sleeper06 Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 If have anyone with a different pipe try it. When building a modified two stroke you always pipe to port. Who ported your jugs?or did I miss that in the info Quote
JordyRoo Posted July 8, 2016 Author Report Posted July 8, 2016 Theres a guy by me that did the porting, theres no one else around that i could try their pipes & i sold my other fmfs... Quote
bigweav81 Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 Did he give you any info on what set of pipes to use with his porting, or info on what he did porting wise? Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk Quote
sleeper06 Posted July 9, 2016 Report Posted July 9, 2016 My advise to you would be throw fuel at it till it starts loosing power and rolling over upstairs. Then back it down till it pulls clean n leave it , no need to chop 100 plugs 1 Quote
JordyRoo Posted July 9, 2016 Author Report Posted July 9, 2016 Think ive got it. 50 pilot, 180 main, middle clip, 1 & quarter turns out. Pulls clean no flat spots. Thanks for all your help guys Quote
