RedBanshee99
I am wanting to do a trail/dune build and I was thinking of doing a serval 421 4mil, advanced timing, toomey t6's, vforce4, and a 2-1 with a 38mm pwk. Thoughts?
JTmachining
All sounds good but the pipes/2-
RedBanshee99
What pipes should I go with? And I have been told that with a 2-1 I can get more low end, plus I usually go on long rides and hate the thumb fatigue but I dont like twist throttles. Any suggestions? Sandking
The serval drinks a lot of gas, if you go on long rides stick with the stock cylinders maybe ported.
bluebanshee98
The motor is a good choice. The carbs 2- 35 pwks would be good. Pipes will depend on what you want the motor to do but sniper, cpi or shearer pipes will let the motor breath and make more power. For thumb fatigue using a Honda throttle and or cut springs from FAST will help. There is also other throttles available to use. A good new lubed up cable helps as well. RedBanshee99
I figured a serval would be a gas hog so I'm also going to be putting a 5.5 gal fuel tank on it. But just or of curiosity long can you ride not wide open most of the time on a stock tank with a serval? And ok I'll look into the Honda throttles and cut springs. And which exhaust performs better for low to mid power? I'm not real concerned about top end because a banshee has the of top end anyway. RedBanshee99
And would a redline 4mil stock cyl put out roughly the same torque as a fast 421 4mil serval? I've heard they're very comparable.
RedBanshee99
And is the power as user friendly and smooth on the redline?
Larry's Shee
Look in the Dyno section, lots of setups. Also search SLP pipes.
RagunCajun
Start calling builders and discuss it with them. With their porting and knowledge, Youll be better off. It may not be cheap but it will be done right the first time with their guidance.
Surfrjag
I would run 28pwk and pro circuits Run race gas with timing and compression. Guess i need to do it any dyno it to see but i thinknit would be a good combo

Thoughts? My vote goes for Trinity pipes and a 2-1 well tuned is a great trail set up and not a slouch as many say it is on the top end.
