87sheerips Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 Want a level stance but sometimes I have to park in garages... And I'm already cutting it close.... Thinking of lowering rear a couple inches instead of lifting front. Let us discuss. Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 I'd go to those garages and take good measurements. A 3" lift over the front axle will not yield a 3" height increase at the tallest point of the cab. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk 1 Quote

Just kicking around ideas - looks like people remove the spacer block Under the leaf springs to drop the ass an inch or so - but I really don't want to jerry rig my expensive ass truck. Looking for ideas. Id rather lift a bit but I don't want to hinder where I can or cannot park... Quote

Also bigger tires will lift anything vert more than a lift will Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 So, let me get this straight.. Your truck fits now, but you don't want to not fit. So, it's between lifting and lower? How about...LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE? Quote
kawa110 Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) Wants level... Doesn't want leveling to lift front and make to tall to fit... Wants to know how to lower rear without hack job.... Call deaver, change your leafs... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited June 28, 2016 by kawa110 1 Quote

Jus make sure pinion angle is good and u get new u bolts/nuts Quote
rubberneck Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 JD i havent fucked with your year truck but on my dads 06 dually it had a spacer block on top of the axle perch. It was about 1.5 " thick if i remember. All we did was remove the block and place it on top of the spring. You could remove it entirely but would need new U bolts. It works flawlessly and unless you know what you are looking at you would have no clue it was even done besides the truck sitting more level. He did it to try and get his 5th wheel closer to level as the trailer already had the axles flipped but was still too low. Quote
rubberneck Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 My brother has a 12, if i see him tomorrow ill look at it and see if its the same way 1 Quote
guns4children Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 I never liked the look of leveled trucks. After a few years they start to look like a dog dragging its ass across the carpet. Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 Agreed. The rear should sit higher than the front normally and it should level out with a trailer. Quote
