Larry's Shee Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 Most pipes like at least a 27.5p Did you do this jetting? That big of a main jet could be masking an air leak. Quote

Presidentlincoln Posted June 18, 2016 Author Report Posted June 18, 2016 it's not ported that's the next investment and no I didn't that's how it came and the person that had it before me might not know as much as he thought he did about working on shit Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk Quote
Strm Trpr Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 27.5 pilot Middle clip on needle (fine tune after) 280-290 main If the OP's motor is air tight, the above jetting will be very, very close.OP, inspect the intake boots for cracks. Re-torque all reed cage and intake screws. 250in•lbs or 20ft•lbs Seat both airscrews gently and turn them out 1/2 a turn at time until they're 1-1/2 turns out. But all of the above needs to happen first, then the following needs to happen. Is TORS eliminated? Is your idle set to ~1,500 rpms? Are your carbs sync'd at idle with a FAST Sync tool? Are your carbs sync'd at part throttle? Quote
Presidentlincoln Posted June 18, 2016 Author Report Posted June 18, 2016 yea tors has been eliminated and no on the rest of that stuff I just built my motor and haven't even gotten it in the bike yet Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk Quote
Strm Trpr Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 If you're serious about your engine and tuning, build or buy a leak down tester and a digital tach from eBay. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Banshee-Two-Stroke-2-Stroke-Leak-Down-Tester-/291786994849?nav=SEARCH http://m.ebay.com/itm/New-Digital-Tach-Hour-Meter-Tachometer-Gauge-For-2-Stroke-4-stroke-Gas-Engines-/331223584733?nav=SEARCH Buy a FAST Sync tool too. http://farmandsandtoys.com/ocart2/carburetor-sync-tool.html?search=Sync Quote
