Miss firing right cylinder

Recommended Posts

Could be 2 reasons i can think of why the plug is wet,

flooding carby, incorrect settings/jetting, etc. this has all been ruled out with your work already been done.

The other possibility is if your right crank seal is leaking, it could get transmission oil in to your engine which could leave the plug wet.

How do you find out if your crank seals are weak?

Realy dont thunk its my crank seal though,

Almost rveryonr ive asked who had a right side crank case seal go bad say it smokes like hell,

Mines doing the opposite,

I heard of people havein a nest or something in there pipes so ima check that to

Snd i checked my pickup gap and its good also clean the contact points a bit. My stator is kinda rusty an dirty in there though, should i get the puller and yank the stator off

When my son bought his Banshee it had a random misfire. Sometimes none, sometimes pretty bad.

I did everything all at one time so I can't say what did cure it.

Cleaned all connections, added dielectric grease, trimmed plug wires, cleaned nubs, set gap, cleaned inside of flywheel, cleaned stator poles, cleaned back of timing plate, cleaned where stator mounts, cleaned stator ground.

O okay ive checked almost all that.

But i was lookin at my carbs today and i found a clogged passage way (the one right above the main jet, i blew air thru it and un clogged it. Ima check my reeds one more time throw it back togeather. I think i got it

I HOPE!! LOL

While you had the carbys apart did you look at the nozzle # 13 in the link https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-schematic/0that along with your needle in the slide control fuel in the mid range. but all this will be thrown out of whack if a gasket or seal is leaking air into the motor. would create a lean condition-more air then fuel.

Yup clear

SHEES BACK, runnin perfect on both cylinder from wat i can tell in my garage a 2am lol

The realy weird part is that i got the problem to swith cylinders after changeing the

Float and float plunger

Main jet

And i found that pilot jet was clogged on the one that was running like shit and cleard it out,

Then thru it all back togeather and the problem switched sides,

so i was sure it was the one of the things i swapped (main jet, Float or plunger)

But then for the fuck of it i regaped the plugs from a .032 to a .028 and hooked all the tors back up.

And she runs fine now.

Like wtf im so fuckin lost for words.
