Keno Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Honestly the easiest thing to do is get 4 diodes and build a bridge rectifier for the light bar. Could throw a smoothing cap in there is you really wanted. Leds still flicker at idle, but won't die. Quote
hp2000 Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Easiest thing is convert to DC and do way with the bullshit. Floating a ground $0 Good DC Rectifier $60 Wiring $8 Done Buddy did his this weekend to DC no battery Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
sheerider1026 Posted November 29, 2016 Report Posted November 29, 2016 ^^^. I've seen that bike somewhere!! Quote
Derpy Drifter Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 I'm interested in increasing my light output without disrupting the look of the stock headlights or functionality. I found these on ebay, says they work for banshees. http://www.ebay.com/itm/111840914145 Thoughts? Quote

As for disrupting functionality goes I don't see where any aftermarket light would do that. Maybe it's more of a look preference? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Jwilliams19870808 Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 Buy lights, Mount them and wire them in a toggle switch to a rc car battery. Works great. Will run for up to 8 hours on a single charge Trail Bikes, FTW How do I do this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Jwilliams19870808 Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 I run a full led compliment on my bike. But have done the DC conversion and added a battery What kind of lights are those that you have on the plastics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
rjdgriff Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 How do I do this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You just need a battery pack, a switch and wire. Mount the battery wherever you want on the bike run the wires from battery to the switch and from the switch to the lights. Pretty easy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

I don't really remember what I meant by funtionality but I love the stock look. The boxy shaped body with those big circle lights.. it's kinda silly but a clean look at the same time. Quote

707lineman Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 Thats a lot of lights and weight, but i bet it lights up like a football stadium!!!! Braaaap!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Maybe a little extra weight, compensated by more motor! Brapp! Quote

They're supposed to be here by next week, I'll put them on ASAP and let you all know what they are like! Also, I'll try to take some pictures at night to show how much brighter (or not brighter haha) they actually are. My guess is they're gonna be pretty darn bright and a pretty white tint to the light, although my lenses are a little yellowed. Quote
guns4children Posted December 1, 2016 Report Posted December 1, 2016 I'm sure they will work nice. I have those $9 tusk bulbs and they are night and day better over the OEM bulbs. Quote

As for disrupting functionality goes I don't see where any aftermarket light would do that. Maybe it's more of a look preference? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I just received those LED bulbs. Packaging was really nice and very fast shipping even with free standard shipping chosen. They came in an anti-static bag like custom PC parts do and they overall look really good. I'm having mechanical issues with my banshee right now so I can't try them out, but I have all day to work on it tomorrow so hopefully then. Quote
Derpy Drifter Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 I got the Banshee running and the lights installed. There's a couple few pictures as examples. They seem to be wayyy brighter, although I won't know for sure until I ride at night. They're definitely a way whiter light though. 20 LEDs on each bulb Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
