DBR06Banshee10 Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 Any one running Leds Lights on your banshee? if so what brand? and feel free to post pictures Quote
guns4children Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 You can't run leds on a banshee. They have an electrical system that was produced before the led was made. The stock bulb on banshee uses the hair from the now extinct Bohemian wild horse for the filament. That I part of the reason banshees are no longer made. 3 Quote
rjdgriff Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 Buy lights, Mount them and wire them in a toggle switch to a rc car battery. Works great. Will run for up to 8 hours on a single charge Trail Bikes, FTW 1 Quote
DBR06Banshee10 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Report Posted June 17, 2016 Ive seen banshees with the led lights not hid so i know its possible without the battery i just wanted some ideas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
hp2000 Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 You can run them without the battery but they might only last you a couple minutes or a couple months it's a risk. This topic has been covered buy a few of us and the better les risky way of not ending up blind on a night ride is adding a battery. Your call. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
rjdgriff Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 I have tried led without battery on 2 bikes. 1 bike works fine, the other bike blew out the lights in 30 seconds Trail Bikes, FTW 1 Quote
Ayesully810 Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 Ive got an extra set of these that I dont need if your looking to buy. Just Pm me Quote
ClaudeMachining Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 You dont need a batt at all If you want lights when engine is off, then you need a battery setup. Some people run LED without ac/dc converter and it work most of the time. If you want a good and uptimal setup, buy an ac/dc converter and plug your LED on it. That's the best way. Quote
RagunCajun Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 I had about 40min on my LED's before one went out. And that's with a ac/DC converter and the lights off 99% of the time. Cheap China crap. 1 Quote
Dunes98 Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 I've been running led's for a few years with no issues. I did a DC conversion, bought a reg/rec, and a small battery. By far the best light mod, as far as I'm concerned. 1 Quote
