LastMinute83
Hey guys..I got a question for u...I currently bought a 4mm stroker motor that was used for drag racing off a Friend of mine...engine ran exceptionally well...my question is...he had 35mm pwks on it...dyno tuned with them but he sold the carbs before I bought motor...I currently have a set of 38mm carbs..from my T-Rex motor...I was wondering do u guys think the 38s will work or should I just spend extra cash and buy the 35s? trickedcarbine
Any port specs? What other mods are done? What fuel? Are you fat or skinny? What is your planned riding to use this motor?
LastMinute83
I don't have port specs but it was ported by d&d racing and made 88.93 hp on c12..200lbs...and I'd say drag mostly..but an occasional rip with buddy's to olocal watering hole...couple miles of road riding.. JTmachining
For drag racing I use PWK39s that are machined to
J-Madd
38s should work.
trickedcarbine
38's would be fine. If you want more snap, 35's. If you dedicate it to just drag racing, 39's would be premium.
SuperBanshee#1
I have a 7mil super cub and im thinking to put some 44mm lectrons, the bike is for Full Plastic 300ft Dirt Racing in Puerto Rico
J-Madd
44s are generally too big for that motor. Not impossible though.
bansheeboy1811
44's are the right way to go. I have the same motor and it loves em
JTmachining
I used 41.3 on 4mm cub and 44s on 10mm SC. 44s in a 7mm SC aren't a prob. Don't forget there's straight n HV Lectron
SOUTHTHIRTY
For drag racing I use PWK39s that are machined to 41 Did you keep them tappered? I've come to find out the hard way. That Numbers are just numbers when dealing with carbs.. better measure wat you have to be what they are. It's all bout flow and velocity...if that answers ur question
J-Madd
I struggled with 44s on a tad bigger motor than a 7 Mil Super Cub is why I said what I did. Had to go to the same carbs (41 mm PWKs) JT mentioned to get it to run for 300' racing. 44s worked good on the dyno though.
