Buster91dg
Any one think it could be he jetting?
sleeper06
I use threebond
Larry's Shee
What should be used for sealant on the pvc caps? I just used 3bond and screw clamps. I can name many 2-3 cyl two stroke that don't use a crossover, including aftermarket Banshee manifold. We don't need no stinking crossover. Larry's Shee
Describe your hiccup in more detail. Is it if you ride at constant mid throttle? Roll on throttle? Stab throttle? You mentioned needle on last clip, closest to point or blunt end ?
Buster91dg
Needle is second up from point and I'd say more of a roll of the throttle
Larry's Shee
Two things I noticed going back through this. No mention of turns on air screw, and you still have stock pilot. I went to FMF website and they actually recommend a 30 pilot. Even though they say 260 main, that would be with totally stock air box, which you don't have. Therefore, I wouldn't go any smaller on main, especially without doing a plug chop/read, and until you get the midrange dialed in. Something that helps is looking at the diagram of which carb circuits affect certain throttle opening. It is in the Clymers Repair Manual, might find it in a sticky in jetting forum. Buster91dg
Air screws are 1.5 out and I was even thinking that maybe I should go back to a 300 main where there was no issues but I also didn't know I had an air leak as well
Buster91dg
I feel like it has no lower slash mid range power either if that helps
Larry's Shee
Thought you passed leakdown test ??
Buster91dg
Yeah it does but from the boost bottle bouncing around I want to throw hose clamps on it just to be on the safe side since that was where the air leak was coming from
Larry's Shee
Banshee I just rebuilt leaked with stock spring clamps, and bottle itself leaked. I just took boot to hardware and found something that fit. May have been in electrical because it was a gray color.
fastbanshee8
I guess this point was missed by the OP completely. Put larger pilots in, and adjust carbs accordingly. Buster91dg
So today I double checked it does actually have the 30 pilots I put the 310 main in it but still notice it very slightly I'm on the 2clio up from the point.
trickedcarbine
As per the title of this thread.... Yes, big problem. It's communication/typing/grammar.
