darkness878
So my clutch rod and ball and actuator were all welded, split the case replaced with all new components new rod, ball and clutch arm, seals etc purchased a pancake bearing so it won't happen again, installed new clutch cable went to adjust and it doesn't seem to line up anyone see anything wrong? Tried the small and big adjuster that came with bearing clutch is lined up right As well as Torqued properly but the arrows won't line up
trickedcarbine
Small adjuster. Loosen everything on the perch. Now set the adjuster so the plate just starts to disengage when you pull the actuator past the arrow on the top case mark. It should line up when you just take the slack out by hand. Then hook up the cable and adjust it so the clutch lever has just a touch of play in and out. Like 1/8-1/4"
darkness878
so unhook it from the arm itself adjust from clutch side? set it that way with it alittle past the arrow on stator side of case then attach cable and fine tune it on level? darkness878
i have the cascade kit comes with 2 sized rods big or small?
hoppedupandcutdown
I can't follow any of that above. With the cable loose at the perch on the handlebars, Hold the actuator lever towards the right with your thumb while adjusting the pancake until the arrows line up. darkness878
To clear all the confusing sorry guys lol Factory clutch except for tusk clutch material and metal Cascade pancake bearing currently have short rod in. This is the rod to use? So to adjust unhook clutch cable on handle bars from lever, pull arm toward clutch side adjust till it lines up? Then connect cable and fine tune it?? RagunCajun
I dont even use the arrow on the cases. I just make sure i have a little slack on the clutch lever. I've got a slingshot and cascade pancake bearing so the arrows are useless to me.

trickedcarbine
Just make sure there is play in the lever. If you use tension on the cable to pull the actuator arm forward, that acts just like you squeezing the lever so the clutch will never be fully engaged. It will slip the clutch. trickedcarbine
A touch one way or another on the case mark adjustment isn't bad. It's just a gauge so you can get a decent amount of clutch throw. If you are drag racing you can do some interesting things with that adjustment.
