Silversheee
So too start off I'm pretty new to banshees. I recently changed motors I bought a 421 ported serval and I just can't really figure it out so I need your guys expect opinions. It idles fine but it will bog/hesitate when I give 0 to about 3/4 but at full throttle it takes off. I currently have SLP pipes 28mm pwk carbs jets are (170 Mains)(48 pilots)(Stock needle jjh on 2nd Clip) Air screw 1.5 turns Elevation is 800ft Compression is about 150 and
Surfrjag
I would go up on pilots and make aure its not lean
Strm Trpr
Turn the air screws all the way in gently, then back them out 1/2 a turn. Put the needle clip in the 4th groove from blunt end of needle. Make sure carbs are sync'd and idle is set to ~1,500 rpms. Make sure float height is in spec too. More than likely you'll need to increase your pilot jets.
Silversheee
Well I synced the carbs. Went up too a 52 pilot, turned the air screws out a half, moved the needle down and it still has a pretty bad bog in low end revs, the top end is still good. Could something else affect this other than the carbs?
Surfrjag
Could be an electrical issue or rich on main jet. Check over electricL first then do a plug chop. Motor is air tight right?
