Anyone make a pipe that looks like PT mid/ hi Rev?

Recommended Posts

You could use the pipes If you really want to but it won't make as much performance as other ones will. Something to think about is when your ripping that quad around with a big grin on your face are you really paying attention to how the pipes look or enjoying the ride? You could always make another bike and put those pipes on there if you want

PT are still one of the best pipes on the market.

One of the few pipes that does exactly what it's intended to do. Makes power exactly where you need it for the application it was built.

The guy we ride with loves them and I love the look. I'm probably choking my motor out with my PC pipes anyway. I can't imagine that they would be that much different in terms of flow.

I mean, PT were the most tame pipe I've ever ridden. Literally so much down low it was crazy.

But don't expect any arm ripping power or a "hit" from the power band.

They are great because you can ride super aggressive with them and the bike is extremely manageable and predictable.

That's why I never wanted to try them. It would be kind of pointless to put a pipe on that would make my 421 run like a stock cylinder stock stroke.

That's a clean cut case of a guy who doesn't know how to tune. I ran pt mids on ported stock cylindersand +4 timing wide open for 4 days in the dunes and never ran hot. Also run them hard at slower speeds in the woods and hill climbing with no issues.

The dyno graph of his bike was the reason I got the PT and port I did.

The most fun bike I've ever ridden.

Won't make as much performance? What are you talking about?

I bet $20 the pt mids come on the pipe way before any other pipes will.

Or are you one of those guys who measure performance only by peak hp?

I should of been more clearer about what I said. I did mean that they won't make as much peak hp and trq as others will. That's why I said you can def still use the pipes. No I am not one of those guys who measure performance only by peak hp. I could of got more peak hp out of my 10mm but I didn't wanna loose any trq and the curve was tits.

Whitbread said he was gonna build a set for his EFI T-Rex. See if money would motivate him.

For one meeeeeeeellion dollars I'll be happy to whip up a set for anyone :).

With the whole moving/building a shop crap, it's going to be a year or two before I get on solid works, design a corkscrew pipe, have all the pieces laser cut, and then weld it all together. Tricked's old leg burners will suffice until then.
