elconor Posted April 23, 2016 Report Share Posted April 23, 2016 A drag port does not mean a ring snagging beast. The most extreme drag ports still dont catch rings. There is more piston/ring wear. Big Mike NY Posted April 24, 2016 Report Share Posted April 24, 2016 Same exact thing happened to me on my previous motor, builder said the rings snagged on the exhaust port. He blamed it on cold starts (staring it and revving the throttle when the cylinder is still cold) which I NEVER EVER DO!
