Andreb84
Ive read a few threads about them but none tell me what they actually do as far as improving the way your bike handles...noob question im pretty sure but wtf does it do and is it a worth while investment on a trail bike
Shifty722
For trail riding you will notice a nice difference in arm fatigue. The damper keeps the bars pointed straight as you hit bumps, rocks, roots etc. It will take a bit of experimenting to get the damper dialed in so you can turn the bars, yet not get the bars ripped out of your hand when you hit rocks, roots and such. I have a Scotts mounted on a KTM quad that I love, you come up on shit and you brace for the hit that never happens because the damper took it...best money I spent for trail riding.

Big Mike NY
Good description above on how the perform I may pick 2 up 1 for my banshee and 1 for my 250R. Who makes them and what do they run $??
Shifty722
Prices vary, bar mounted can be as much as 5-600, stem mounted for about 250-300, but I am sure there are deals to found. The more adjustable the better IMHO.
trickedcarbine
Rebuild able is nice, but not so cheap that it needs constant rebuilding.
sheerider11
I've been running the stick style. The streamline 12 way rebuildable is nice. There like 125 or something like that. I always recommend people to run them. They take a lot of the beating that is required to keep the bike straight.

This one has less adjustability, and its not rebuild able but for the price it might be ok for you. Just another option.
