02Banshee88
I think I have an exhaust leak. First off, I was riding it about two weeks ago and the powerband wasn't happening at all. No bogging, just acceleration with no powerband. I fired up my Banshee today and saw a lot of smoke coming out of what I think was my exhaust clamp behind the carburetor that connect the two portions of the pipe. Could this be causing my powerband issue? Ima check for air leaks when I get a chance and do plug chops but I definitely feel like I have an exhaust leak. Close to the bottom of the engine near the front I heard a ticking noise. Not clinking or anything like the kick start rattle or natural ping of the engine itself, but a ticking sort of while it was idling, and something smelled like it was burning. Not the usual exhaust smell. I think I got a lot more problems than one.
trickedcarbine
It takes more then a leaky exhaust to make these things run the way you're describing. Do a compression test to verify there is life left in the motor, then start troubleshooting.
