kcw125
Hey everyone I'm wondering what main jets I should be running on my banshee. The banshee has an intake and exhaust.i bought the quad with 290 main jets and it started to sputter around 3/4 to WOT. I'm now running 260 maons jets and the quad is running great but I've been told that this is too lean and risk seizing. So my questions are what do u think my jetting should be now. And also what my jetting should be after a timing advance +4 and new vf4 reeds? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Surfrjag
I would have a 30 pilot jet with that filter and vf4 and do a pkug chop with that main to see how it looks. One thing to always keep up on is the electeical. Check your pickup gap and keep the flywheel nice and clean along with a new set of plugs. . I like to keep a .020" plug gap as well as check you plug cap resistors. 5k Usually I just put some ngk ones on they are cheap..
Larry's Shee
So it ran good when you bought it ? Now it doesn't ? Something has changed then. Air filter has gotten dirtier. Plugs fouled. Other electrical degradation. Never good idea to arbitrarily lean jetting without LOGICAL reason to do so, especially that big of a jump. As mentioned, a plug chop (or read) confirms jetting.
