camp0429
What am I, hypothetically speaking, looking to spend on all that? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk Just depends. figure maybe $500 or so at the very least for pistons, bore, seals, gaskets, and check out crank. Im terrible at setting a budget though, you start going well since it's apart lets do this and that, and so on. I got $800 in rebuilding my wife's banshee not long ago but that was with a new crank. But then you need to think about, again the little things, good idea to replace the throttle and clutch cable. Check out all your bushings and bearings related to the frame

jrevans2571
Yeah that's a bit much lol. But I'm not into racing or anything like that. Just want to ride every now and again. To get it running is an accomplishment in my book right now Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
bigweav81
That's just the average weekend warrior set up. I could be wrong. I asked if you were sitting down lol. At the very least check crank, and redo top end. sent from yo mammy house.
sheerider11
800 is a fair budget on getting it done right. 300 bore pistons. 200 on crank true and weld 300 on misc shit Cables, seals, gaskets, fluids, and who knows what else you'll find. Since your in there are you really going to re use questionable pieces? The 20 and 30 dollar parts are what add up and kill a budget
jrevans2571
That price includes top end? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
sheerider11
That price includes top end? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk My price? No. It's getting your cylinders bored and new pistons.
jrevans2571
Would you need to get top end after that our does that take care of it Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
Bennett131
Would you need to get top end after that our does that take care of it Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk Um...a fresh bore/hone with new pistons takes care of it as long as your head is usable (I didn't read the whole thread). What all do you think is inside of a 2 stroke top end? Lol
jrevans2571
Man again I'm a beginner trying to educate myself Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
guns4children
Yeah buddy if all you want is to get her running again a new "top end" is just pistons rings and bore. If you have a machine shop around they could probably bore it out for you if you ordered a piston kit and gave them the pistons.
guns4children
You should take the gas tank and pipes off then take off your head and take pictures of the pistons and post them on here. You can upload them to photo bucket and post the links that would be the easiest way.
