dirtydownunder
ask kevin, he should get you in the ballpark. maybe around 148-155/45-48 around 70 temps and sea level never tried the 916s, a few people prefer them over the fmf's
special06shee
What are we jetting?
Surfrjag
you should also consider checking the squish clearance.. those carbs with that setup should be around 48 pilot jjh or n68a needle and 155 main jet.
hercalmighty
Are you running a spacer plate or cut domes? If you are running cut domes, 20cc domes are too small for 93 octane. You would need 23-24cc domes Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
liljake
Ya they are cut domes thanks guys for the info.
liljake
I did talk to Kevin tho a few weeks ago he said I should go with the cut domes and not a spacer plate
hercalmighty
Ok. So if they are cut and you want to run pump gas, you will need different domes Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
liljake
Should I use the 60 thousandths or the 20 thousandths gasket then if I get bigger domes
hercalmighty
You would have to check your squish and compression Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
liljake
Ok I know before without the stroker in it but I had 20cc domes in it that were not cut obviously it was stock stroke but I was at 165 psi and I ran pump gas 92 or 93 and it ran great
dirtydownunder
160+ is close to the limit with 94 pump. I run 170 on pump but with no added timing advance. With .045 squish. I rather get domes cut than to change base gaskets. Base gasket is part of the port timing.

I ran pretty much the same setups. 165 psi with stock stroke domes and about 185 psi with the stoker domes. With the 20cc stoker domes I had to run 110 octane. I switched to 23cc stoker domes and had about 160 psi and ran 93 octane Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
sleeper06
Lil jake it simple math your taking the same cc dome and stuffing added volume from stroke n bore so uccr goes up considerably. On stock cylinder 23.5-24 cc domes is safe for pump n a lil timing. You can defiantly push the envelope as long as you read your plugs correctly and have a good ear n feel for the engine . If your not so great at tuning and maintenance go with the bigger dome . Shoot for .050 squish on any of your domes and it will last
