maggdog
A few months a i did a dc conversion w/stock stator, excellent, i put this one charge the battery without problems and works great now i planning upgrade the headlights to led light bar 13.5 this comes with 72watts I wondered it is too much watts for stock stator and time lapse before drain the battery or can I use without problem for an hours? maggdog
What size battery do you have? 72 watts will be over the limit of a DC floated stock stator. Stock is 75 watts, you do lose some converting to DC plus the rear tail/brake light uses around 3/5watts. You can still run it for a while depending on size of battery. Bigger battery will allow longer time before draining. 14 width x 9 high

maggdog
I meant what is the Ah rating?9 amp
TurnerBanshee
72 watts / 12volts is 6 amps, so if you are not charging you battery at all, your lights will last 1.5hrs. Since you are charging it and around 65 watts (can't remember the exact number after dc), you will be fine for night riding. Lets say you are using 12 watts more than your stator is charging. Your battery will last 9hrs before it is drained. thanks it's I all need know
