antd913
It was a brand new NGK br8es. That's after it trying to start 3 times .
antd913
It cleans right off and looks like that again after trying to start 3-4 times
hoppedupandcutdown
It cleans right off and looks like that again after trying to start 3-4 times But a gas fouled plug won't fire again. And only half-assed with a cleaning.
antd913
I will pick up a fresh set of plugs and see what happens . i personally think it's deeper issue than that but i will thrilled if fresh set of plugs does the trick . n2otoofast4u
Have a buddy press his finger over the plug hole and kick it. It looks to me like the bottom end is going to have a ton of fuel it it. If it sprays fuel, or even a mist with the finger trick I'd pull the pipes and reeds off and let it air out. While you've got the carbs off give them a good clean and look over then connect a purge bottle to them and be sure the floats are set correctly and not leaking by.
antd913
Do you know offhand what the pop off pressure should be ? I think it's around 7psi but not sure .
Scrubby
isn't a 45 pilot a bit large ???
antd913
I know the sizes are diferent than makuni . I have keihin pwk carbs . I will double check but I think it's correct size for my mods and altitude I ride at
guns4children
Pull the plugs and let everything dry out. If you push the throttle once or twice before you kick it then it should be fine to start without throttle just the carbs chocked.
sleeper06
It's not a jet ski no need for pop off pressure in these carbs , unless ur using jet ski carbs
antd913
How long should I let it dry out before giving it another try ?
sheerider11
How long should I let it dry out before giving it another try ?pull plugs pipes intakes reeds and kick it over a few times then let it sit. Gas evaporates pretty quick. But I'd leave it a few days if the bike is indoors. You know it'll all be gone by then. Is it holding you up in anyway while it's down?
