bansheeboie Posted March 11, 2016 Author Report Share Posted March 11, 2016 I check behind the flywheel to make sure it wasn't the stator bolts or the flywheel key sheared off. Everything checked out good. I got the crank out the motor, it seems i have some minor rusting on the crank. Guessing I sprung a leak somewhere? What would cause rust inside the crank area? The little gold piece is what caused the nicks in my dome and piston top. Pretty sure that a piece of a TZ bearing if not mistaken? bansheeboie Posted March 12, 2016 Author Report Share Posted March 12, 2016 I had this crank for a few years. Ran it in my old 421cub and when I went bigger I just swapped it into my supercub. Never had a problem with it before. But this is the first time I put a TZ bearing on it. Rods and everything on the crank are ok. I didn't have them done, same rods that originally came on it.
