Did you do a pressure test? Wtf is a med boost port Gonna do a plug chop with in cpl days went quarter throttle real well but was breaking it in. The intake windows are what im talking about. You can get the tools of a website recomended by engine porters but i got mine off ebay and used a drill ; ). If u want i could find the name sof the bits so u can look them up. $18-$25. As for "med boost ports" boost ports are wholes drilled from your transfer port to your intake. Supposed to help bottom end from what i read. And when i described them as med i ment medium in size. I didnt want to have to put apoxy on the side to keep durability. Some pro's mightsay i still need it. No havent done a pressure test.... Is this a big no no? When its in your lap grinding its the other way around though.
Nathanwilmes
I wouldn't be running those cylinders with JB weld... its only a matter of time before it leaks... they would need to be welded. Nothing against you for trying your own porting.. got to start somewhere... I can you wanted to try the cylinders but JB weld is a band aid solution that wont last completely agree but that was my only solution at the time. Wouldnt of done it if it didnt seem like it would work good either. I stamped it down on the bottom inside of the water jacket pushed threw the tiny whole and folded around inside to form a smooth flow for air still. My shee gets used once a month for two hours so i should be good for a few years : /

Nathanwilmes
Did you do any measuring before you started hacking away material? Did you do any measuring afterwards? Not before, didnt raise the exuast but made them the same width on inside and the intake windows as close as i could get em. Have some pics on that link up there. bigweav81
This my sound stupid to u pro's but i have no idea. I did a lot of video watching and bought the bits and did a clean up on exuast widening it but not hiring and then i dropped the windows almost all the way down and drilled boost ports. I will post pics as soon as i fig out how...I'm just another you lol. No pro, no builds. Porting is just intriguing to me. Buy some books, read them until you know what you're reading. Learn this site. There's a few guys around here, and more then willing to help if you listen. Tooling alone will cost more then a reputable port job. If you're saving a buck forget it. If you're doing it to learn........kudos. sent from yo mammy house.
sheerider11
I tried porting once. Bike ran maybe a little better. Took me 5 weeks. Never doing it again.

Lol, were you using a low-power tool that bogged down every time you touched it to the metal??? It is a long teetias project that took me about 8 hours over 3 days and requires STRONG arms unless u have the rite set-up and mounts that a shop would have and still would require lots of stamina. All in all im real glad i did it cus now i can do my other one for free!!! Of course if i wanted a real serious Dune Port or raising the exhaust port i would not recomend doing it urself. Plenty of Pro's on here would do it for you for a good price. Think the range from $350-$
