JasonB
Did the tors delete and after about three tanks of gas one of the idle screws came loose and fucked up the sync etc. Is there a good way to get these things to stay put? In worried they are going to come lose and terrified of over tightening them in the aluminum carb housing as it is. Any tricks to keep them snug? hoppedupandcutdown
did you file the carb body flat where the jam nut seats?
87sheerips
Ditch stock garbage and upgrade to 28 or 33pwk http://www.jdscustoms.com/product/33mm-keihin-carburetor-pair/
JasonB
did you file the carb body flat where the jam nut seats? Ya both carbs have that surface filed flat. I'm just paranoid about over tightening it and just pulling the screw threads out. They've been snug since the other day when the lock but backed off though, so whatever
Strm Trpr
blue loctite will gum up the threads and allow you to make adjustments and you won't need a lock nut anymore, but I still use them for shits and giggles and don't worry about over tightening anymore either. The threads of the brass lock nut will strip before you damage the aluminum carb.
