Mattchev
Just want to clear this up. Ive done a ton of reading on the proper way to remove the parking brake. Ive seen a lot of people say that all you need to do is unplug the plug and thats it. Then Ive seen people say that they clipped the Green/Yellow wire, which takes away the rev limiter? Or that people splice the Green/Yellow and black wire together after they unplug. I unplugged mine and it ran like shit which makes me believe that I need to do something else. Any input is appreciated.
ClaudeMachining
Tors removed or not? First, study a little bit those diagrams.

hoppedupandcutdown
It's not on either of those diagrams. I've been telling people for years to cut and isolate the green/yellow wire at the CDI. That being said, I've never owned a Banshee new enough to have that system. I' ve also read that just unplugging it makes it run bad. So since you have one there, and unplugged running like crap, try jumping it, try cutting it and you tell us the exact cure.
87sheerips
To further re-instate... As I have been blowing up this forum feeding baby throughout the night... Simplify your life and let us build you a new harness specific to your model year and the electronics you have/do not have. Well worth the investment!!! http://www.jdscustoms.com/product/oem-length-drag-cut-wire-harness/ Or, even better, relocate your CDI, voltage regulator to this location and run a cleaned up wire harness that we also provide. http://www.jdscustoms.com/product/gas-tank-cdivregkey-relocation-bracket/

jeremyshee01
Shit, one more thing to do. Bought a new harness(oem before knowing about hq). But as many headaches as I've had I'll throw it on the shelf and call jds customs. You should to.
ClaudeMachining
It's not rocket science.... you have the electrical drawings....Making a harness is easy too.

It even easier to call Corey at kompulsive concepts and pay him the 30 bucks for a harness that's already done
