sheerider11
Ok so I took the crank to a local specialist and the crank was waay out of phase. Got it adjusted and welded, put it back together and she's running like a dream!!! Blown away by how fast these things are since it's my first time owning/riding a banshee. Thanks to everyone who helped with ther 2 cents. Since I got it running the shifter seal started leaking so I'll be replacing that as soon as I can find 1, the shift fork has very slight play, is this normal?you pulled the crank, got it welded and back together running in a day?? I need you and your people around here!!
Digitall
Lol well the machine shop took about an hour to fix the crank which was surprising lol. I've been going back and forth with this bike for like a month so I was pretty eager to get it back together lol.. Digitall
There are only about 4 in the island and only 2 are currently running so they are kinda rare but i got mine for a little over 1k US barely running, but since everything on it is new now the value should go up to like 3-4K

Digitall
So I've been running the single carb for a week or so and it runs great. Today I went to install the dual carbs and it idles fine and revs out fully when Not under load but when I went to ride it won't rev out fully unless I'm at 1/4 or less throttle. The stock carbs have 200 main jets and have been recently rebuilt. The single carb has a 210 main jet btw. What would you suggest I do next to get it running right on the dual carbs? The motor had wiseco pistons bored over to 65.5, timing is at +4, pro design plate with k&n filter, has toomey t5 silencer only and some other head pipes, not sure what they are :s... That's about it for mods... Thanks in advance
hercalmighty
You should be around a 27.5 pilot and a 290 main Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
Digitall
Ohh btw the carbs have been synced , I tried riding with the air screws at 1, 1.5 and 2 turns. So you think she's running too lean at 200 ?Also would the 210 main jet in the single carb also be too lean also? Thanks Edited March 16, 2016 by Digitall
hercalmighty
What brand carbs are the duals and what brand is the single Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
Deadbeat
how long did you run it for with 200 mains
Digitall
The duals are stock oem and the single is Keihin pwk 71RA4 CIT. Not sure what size the single is, looks like a 38 could ve wrong... I ran the 200 mains for not even an hour due to it running like crap... hercalmighty
Two different brand of carbs means the jet sizes are different between the two. Mikuni carbs and keihin carbs use specific jets to each other. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
