Gemeiner
Weathers gotten warmer and yesterday while riding I noticed a dead spot in 4th gear at WOT. It'll go from the normal high pitched to a bogging brrrrrrrr sound. Which is weird to me because I'd be expecting a lean sound. Never noticed it over the winter. Same jets though. And I resynced my carbs because they were a little off. Maybe my main jets are too big or too small? fastbanshee8
Main jets are too big. Cold temps means bigger, or richer jets, and warm temps means smaller, or leaner jets.
Larry's Shee
Down and dirty test, when it starts to bog, pull choke out. If worse, you're rich. If better you're lean, possible air leak.
Gemeiner
Think you're right about the jets. It uses 310s perfectly in the desert at sea level so I put 270s for 4000 feet where I live. It's 30 degrees at night and 80 in the day rt now and I ride all day long so jettings kind of a pain. It only seems to act up in 4th. But it's definitely a bogging sound not a lean sound. I'll ride it today and see what it does. Couldn't open it up last night after I synced the carbs, too dark on the trails. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

uman1030
Lucky It was only a gallon or 2 Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk better compression check that thing if you been running with little to no oil!
Gemeiner
It had half a tank or more of mixed gas. I use amsoil dominator 32:1 anyways suppose to be like 40:1 so the gallon or 2 of unmixed just made it run rich.
