ClaudeMachining
When i bought it, the Kid said he replaced pistons/rings each season and also said that the jugs were sport ported. Never been honed, stock size. I just took some pics, looks good to me for 2006 jugs, will measure the cyl this afternoon. Will map it soon. ClaudeMachining
Yup, that look like a nice cleanup job to me. Going to measure the cyl. diameter right now!
ClaudeMachining
Started to take some measurments, but the probe was too small....Old School ftw!!So i got from 64.05 (perpendicular to the exhaust) to 64.30 (parallel to the exhaust)

Bennett131
64.05 to 64.30 isn't good. That is in mm of corse, so it's less than .008. Not good but I've seen worse.
ClaudeMachining
Is it usuall to have more wear in the exhaust/intake axis than the other way? I'm buying drveline serval like jugs anyway but I think I will send my oem one for an oversize and keep them as a backup Envoyé de mon GT-P5113 en utilisant Tapatalk
trickedcarbine
Yes, think in terms of how the crank/rod/piston motion is. On the down stroke it's tugged down but also the rod is being slung back toward the intake and on th up stroke it's being thrown up, but also a bit toward the exhaust. That's why you see the egg shaped bores on motors with more hours. To help combat that issue, the common solution is a longer for to create less angle so there is less fore & aft thrust.
