Hey everyone, this is my first banshee to build and I'm have a hard time getting it to start it had no compression when I got it the pistons were shot so I had the jugs bored for .30 pistons also have fmf fatty pipes stock reeds and bigger jets in the carbs I don't remember size also K&N slip on filters but I am 4973ft above sea level what would you guys run for jetting in my situation any help would be great thanks

Yes my crossover tube is connected, no I did not perform a leak down and compression check after rebuild, the Jets were handed to me and was told you'll need these like I said this is my first banshee

see if your plugs are fouled or wet.. if they are dry youre not getting any fuel of course. Try loosening the plugs and spraying some starting fluid or carb  spray and see it will start..

This guy is dumb as fuck! DO NOT DO THAT! Start reading, keep reading, and then read some more. Then come back and ask educated questions.

Really how am I dumb as fuck? You think that is going to hurt the engine?

So he's to loosen the plugs... Why?

He's to spray starting fluid where? On the now loose plugs? If it's not getting fuel, why not fix the fuel problem? Your suggestion was dumb as fuck, thus creating my hypothesis.

do you have issues or something youre very rude.. fuck your hypothesis bro.. if you cant understand loosening plugs to spray starting fluid in the cylinder then you are dumb as fuck.. Ive rebuilt brand new engines that are dry and need a little boost to get the pressure differences going through the carbs and cylinders

Dry engine, use starting fluid....... noted

Not all the time but sometimes yes a little bit is better than kicking it 50 times with no gas and oil getting to the top end.. a lot of mechanics use it to diagnose mechanical problems.

A lot of mechanics do dumb shit as well.  Don't base your logic off of a mass of people with widely varying levels of experience.

Have you ever seen what starting fluid does to oil?

Also, starting fluid will ignite whether lean, rich, weak spark, timing all off, little air, air leak, low compression...  It is not a good disgnostic tool.

DO NOT use starting fluid on 2 strokes! PERIOD. If you want to "cheat" is squirt a little pre mix in,not starting fluid.
