hoppedupandcutdown
It only took 15 posts to drag that bit of info out of you. They all came with keys. Look around the radiator for a harness with a jumped wire, will be heavy gauge black to red /black stripe. That will be the key switch that was by-passed ---good place to look first For the THUMB switch, just unplug it all to test

sheerider11
Are you just looking at stuff or actually testing. I'd say at this point you need a meter and at least check for continuity from cdi plug to everywhere else. We can get into the values later. But if you have an OL anywhere you need to see why. sleeper06
I think they all had keys Key switch red to black = connection should be a connector behind rad and was most likely poorly deleted and could be your problem , pull tank and check harness. On/off. Blk and blk with white trace keep wires separated to test , wires are normally open in run condition

spdrcr
OK Does it still have the TORS on it and the throttle thumb switch? do you have a tether kill switch that could be bad. are the headlights trying to fire while you kick it over?
