hercalmighty
Hey guys. I'm looking to get a new set of rims for the front and rear. I want single beadlocks for both the front and rear. I'm trying to decide between Hiper CF1 and the DWT Champion in a Box (Rok n Lock single beadlock fronts and G2 single beadlock rear, kit CB-8 Worcs kit) I have read the pros and cons on the two as far as hipers can break vs just bend and that though they can break they are still stronger then aluminum rims. I know a bunch of guys on hear have had hipers but I was wondering who has had the DWT rims. I ride mostly woods and mx. One big thing I'm looking at is the weight difference between the two. I can't seem to find much on weight. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk

G2 = lighter but less stronger. They are about the same price. I finaly choose the Hiper. Why?? 'simply 'cause i find them sexier than G2, so i choose them based on look only vs G2. hp2000
I have the front Rock n locks and front hiper tech 3 with no tires I can put on a scale for you if that helps. I know the CF1 is lighter than techs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

hercalmighty
why are you worried about weight?I can notice a difference with weight while riding. For example, I had two banshees set up pretty much the same way with the only difference being tires. One had ITP GNCC front and rears, the other had Kenda Klaws. The Kendas were much heavier then the GNCC and I could really notice it riding. So, weight is important to me. I'm also looking for real world experience between the two if anyone has it. As for price they are pretty close so that's not a big deal. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk

sheerider11
Dual beadlock Starting wieght Me holding 1 rim 16 pounds for 1 rim and tire. I have the center mounted hubs and dual bead lock. Itp sandstar tires. So we can still say the rim is a healthy 12 or 13 pounds. I wouldn't put the single to far behind that. hercalmighty
Cool. Thanks. Great info. Zilla. It wasn't so much the rear tires it was more in the front. And 2 pounds of rotating mass can be a lot. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
SandSlingerOR
I'm also in the same boat. Hipers are $599 through atv galaxy for the cf1's. The DWT's are $549. I was leaning twards the dwt's cause of the slight difference in price. But I've had no issues with my hipers on my 250r, other then leaking air around the lugnut holes, hipers look better so might as well pay the slight difference & go with hipers. hp2000
I like that the DWT are not as sensitive to locking down the bead ring as the hipers. Also those pesky leaks on the hipers at the matting surfaces is a pain sometimes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
