Mrtaterman
i am about to put a bit of money into my bike, and i have called around to a few shops and i got really mixed answers on carburetion. two shops are telling me stock carbs will work fine, two shops told me i needed at least 34mm. when questioned about it, they both gave answers that sounded like respectable answers, if i could get some feedback from someone who has done this, or has any aditional info for me would be great. my banshee has: vforce 4 reeds, fmf sst pipes ( will be gettting new ones ), milled head ( will be getting coolhead with 18cc domes along with porting), and toomey intake

trickedcarbine
All mods aside, what is the intended kind of motor set up you want? Stock carbs can make some decent power. If you want a trail machine with lots of early on throttle snap, the stockers would be just fine. They will make up to 80hp.

trickedcarbine
Lots of tree shots? With those pipes, keep the stockers. If you do get it ported and eventually get one of the better In Frames you could benefit some carbs.

KwikShee
I'd recommend sticking with the 22cc domes. At least research the compression ratio with 18cc domes. You might get stuck with race gas to have it run right or as capable per the domes. I'm having Alba do an aggresive trail/dune port and .40 bore. Plus 34mm billet intake and 34mm flat slides. I also thought about changing domes but everyone I asked said stick with 22cc. Something to think about before you order. We also ride sand mountain and Saint Anthony's Idaho. trickedcarbine
Anything under 20-21CC will be race gas territory.
