Craig B
Not much info about powervalves in Banshees. Are they worth doing for an all out trail/play type motor? Would it help broaden the torque range? Thanks.

gusto
Hardly anyone builds them it seems. I believe they're a hard recipe to make it work right. Is anyone here running a power valve? I just sold my quadzilla and I loved the power valve on that.

Killer torque, that's the kind of torque I'm looking for in my Banshee. Looking to go 465cc
gusto
A HPR19 pipe on your zilla! Wish i had that, i was running an Aaen. Do you still have the bike? She is a beauty. I already regret getting rid of the bike, i just couldnt afford the aftermarket and sourcing parts. Wish they were made for more years, they are such nice rides once the bugs are sorted out. That and your atc250r were the two machines that scared the hell out of me when they came out back in the 80s.
gusto
you don't think you'll need those SLP pipes for your 10mil? Thet make tons of tq.
hercalmighty
It seems that the cheetah pv motors are a pita to get right. Right now I have a 7mm stroke 72mm bore cheetah pv motor. Still trying to get the thing tuned in. Awhile back someone had mentioned that there were other powervalves that would fit the cheetah cylinders other then the ones from trinity but like everything else with this motors, no one wants to talk about them Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk

hercalmighty
If I had the time and money to screw around with I would love to try doing an electronic pv setup. Sort of like what tts was trying to do. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
sleeper06
Back when I was younger we used to put jetskiing powervalves on a handle. It worked great in back bay skeeter ditches , it gave us more control without the engine managing the valve
Whitbread
My tuning progress got halted by the white stuff and moving, but I love my pv'ed trex motor. The valves give me a 196 to a 204 exhaust duration window. Can't wait to see how it will run switching from PT's to rockets this spring. Once I get it tuned in this spring on the trails up here, I'll have to get it on driveline's dyno and see where it stands.
99michael
Driveline should make some power valve'd cylinders. Would be interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
