Kendro
I have asked this question a few times and continue to get conflicting answers. The question is, can a 230 lbs rider ever achieve 3.90s on a Alky 465cub with SCP. And 73rollout 14 stag extremes, with wheelie bar? Havent weighed the bike but I can lean over the center of it and lift it up, all 4 tires off the ground. Best guess is it weighs 225 lbs ready to race. I have tried all kinds of sprocket combos and jetted up one side and down the other. Best et I have seen is 4.15 with a 1.49 60ft. I have a set of 81r/o 14 stags i plan to try this season. Im starting to think that the only way to get there is become anorexic or build a bigger motor. My hope with this post is to poll the masses and put my mind to rest. Please reply if you know the answer, Yes chunky boys can hit that number on this engine , or a simple No you fat ass loose some weight or build a bigger engine.
n2otoofast4u
No. That is the short, long, best, and correct answer. It will take a WELL setup 10dm for that weight to see anything sub 4s. Bigger is ALWAYS better!
special06shee
My 10cub weighs about 280lbs race ready.(yes its heavy, its not a hacked up drag bike). I weight anywhere from 175-195lbs depending on time of yr. My setup ran a best of 3.89@ 82 mph and i weighed about 195lbs that time out. Bike will run in the .90s all day. Im fairly confident if i really gave a solid effort with the clutch tuning it would run in the mid .70s.
SlowerThanYou
I went mid 3.90s weighing 230 lbs. with a stock frame, 443cc race gas cub. So, yes would be the answer along with some low-mid 1.30 60's.
J-Madd
My super secret spreadsheet says that if that motor makes 110 hp (a realistic number for my calculations) it's possible to run low 3.8, even high 3.7s. 225 lbs race ready is very light. Kendro
I will weigh it this weekend. 225 is a complete guess. Maybe I am stronger than I think

10dmbanshee
My 10 mill 465 cub went 3.70s with my chassis builder bracket racing it, should have gone high 3.60s if he hadn't lifted, rider was 200lbs and bike was 220ish
