Back before all the different aftermarket cylinders were available, using a RZ top end in a banshee lower end was quite the hot ticket. Zilla is dead on about the transmission. It has wider spread ratios which really don't help a banshee under 80+HP get moving quickly in the tight and twisty stuff.

As far as pipes, there aren't many. I believe the only 2 pipes that will bolt on and clear the powervalves on the cylinder are Paul Turners and Rockets.

As far as chassis set up for the woods, there is a whole section here dedicated to XC riders. Look through some of the posts and you will get the gist of what guys are doing/buying.

Issue with the rz motor is the transmission. It is geared for the road, which is too wide for trails. Maybe throw on a 13/44 sprocket set to make it closer.

For the 88 frame, try to find some +2+1 j-arms, they are not easy.

For shocks, just buy some stage 3 elkas.

What pipes, carbs, reeds are currently on there?

The plan was to get a banshee trans fersure, will the head bolt right up to the shee trans ? Do u know if the gnalry fmf pipe make it past the power valves ? And i dont know wat its got onestly that why im redoing it. But for just peaking at it i see that some one put reeds in it. And the carbs are not stock andits got a boost bottle lol..

Is the rz 350 top end on a banshee bottom end good for a woods build? From what little i found ive hear u can get em pretty luggy with it haveing the power valves.

-No on the FMF Gnarly pipes fitting.

-The banshee Low end is pretty Identical to the RZ350 with just a few minor differences for the RZ. RZ cases have the window under the drive sprocket. They also have oil pump provisions on the factory RZ side cover. However just about anything is interchangeable. Either cylinders will go on to either cases. Either trans will go in either set of cases as well. You will need an RZ specific head to go on the RZ cylinders. (Look in to Wicked or TDR)

-Zeel-tronic electronics would be the way to go

Any way you can get a photo of what you got posted?

I dont know what the carbs are on it, and i think the pipes are stock rz pipes. I can see that some one grinded were the reed go in the head to make the one that are in it work but ive read they do that to them for banshee reeds to fit. Ill get some pics up of the reeds later

Ahh, that was posted a while back. There definitely needs to be some sorting out there. Carbs sort of appear to be stock. With the choke like that, it's possible that they are VM 34's. Need better photos to verify though.

Okay i will get som close ups for you, they a to big for the boots that are on it they riped em to make these carbs fit like a dumb ass and the seal em with gasket maker or so shit. It runs and ride but not trail worthy. I pay 800 for it, i bought it cuz the power valves, im just gonna redo everything ealse.

I wana have one of the more bad ass bashee out here in ill trails.

Do not run it with those intakes messed up like that. It will cause a melt down.

Do you know if the power valves are functioning? Right off the bat it looks like you have a lot of work to get that thing going well.

I have to check but if not im pretty sure i just got to hook up the battery, all the electrical is there. It runs like shit in bottom end but once the rpms are up it flys.

Im going to check the power valves today,,,, i got about 1200 bucks to spend to make a good trail banshee , gonna go with used works triple rate used and get the rebuilt for my weaight and ride to keep cost down, i just cant afford or need elkas or the other big buck shocks

If it runs like crap down low but great up top, there is a good possibility that the valves are stuck open.

Take your time, listen to the guys around here, and run a bunch of test.

Start with a leak down test and a compression check. Look to see if the power valves are working. If they are not, look to see if they are open or closed. Measure the intake side of the carbs to figure out what size you have
