Pipes for serval

I'm listening, it's just that the link shows snipers making the same curve as shearers, only 5-15hp less throughout. Unless there's something significantly different since 2012, I don't think I follow.

Huh? Here's the link.. Snipers were clearly the best pipe on these 421 Cubs and the 465 Serval below.

Anywhere to buy chromed snipers? I did a quick search and came up with the actual website that doesn't offer chrome, then I have RDZ (I'd rather not).

Buy bare pipes from Gary and then send them to Performance Plating in Olathe, KS for chrome.

I had Gary send my pipes directly to Performance Plating recommended by locogato11283. The price and quality were excellent. I ride in coal country PA in very dirty conditions and the finish has held up great. The Performance Plating finish is far superior to the chrome finish that comes on the Shearers. Again, money well spent.

Cam recommended CPI over Shearers for this build, not CPI above everything else.  I'd throw some money at him to test the build with a bunch of different pipes but I have to have the bike back running for the DT ride.  If I wait until he's done building it to order pipes, they may not make it here in time and I'll be stuck with T5s for the ride.

I'm not one for impatience but I'll probably never be able to tell enough difference between Shearer, CPI, or Snipers to justify the time and money.

Cam had a good point about how I may like a pipe that doesn't make as much power but is more along the lines of how I prefer to ride.  That's probably why he didn't say to run a certain pipe without question.  I'm pretty sold on the Snipers.  If he can test the build with both, then I'll know for sure.  I'll sell the snipers and buy some CPIs if they turn out to make a better curve, but it won't be until after the DT ride.

You should ask Cam if he has a set of Snipers on hand.

I know that at one point in time he did.

He had offered to ship them to me to see if they would fit in my Laeger chassis when I was trying to make the same decisions as you.

Then he could offer you dyno time on both CPI and Sniper to determine which way you want to go.

Decided on snipers. Waiting for a response from them about having them shipped to be plated. Seriously hope I can have them done before the DT ride.

good choice, the 465 serval dyno chart mentioned by loco is mine, and the snipers are beast mode all day

Trail bikes, FTW

If this is the case why not just buy what is cheap and readily available and what is recommended and move along?
