type R Posted January 16, 2016 Report Share Posted January 16, 2016 Hi guys i am new here but read alot of posts and problems from others that helped resolved mine but not this time.. i cant figure out why my left side wont fire or almost never unless i punch it. Carbs been cleaned coil replaced. Wires switched up from plug to plug and still left side not firing.. took gas tank vavle apart thinkin maybe a restriction but all good.. compression test 145 exacly on both.. carbs are synced.. choke tube is atached. type R Posted January 17, 2016 Author Report Share Posted January 17, 2016 So i tested the stator and both resistance are in range.. this is rediculous i must have spent over 15 hours and still no good diagnostic. I used a vacuum gauge (that also had a low pressure side) that I had laying around the shop. Just figured you might too, but I don't know if up to date truck techs have any carburetor tools.
