hoppedupandcutdown
I would say if it runs that the flywheel is doing its part. You did test for voltage at the bullet connectors with it unplugged from the rest of the harness? Correct?
Dixie normus
Test stator. I know a guy that can rewind the lighting side
sleeper06
Test from each wire to ground on stator , should get o/L if you get resistance its bleeding , I was gonna say light switch but if your testing at the leads off stator that eliminates that and doesn't leave anything else but stator, if the bike runs fine I would assume the flywheel magnets are good but wouldn't hurt to check if you had a buddy with a known good one
DESTRUCTIVE
I tested the stator at the bullet connectors, and no voltage Edited January 13, 2016 by DESTRUCTIVE
DESTRUCTIVE
Where is the ground on the stator at and what do you mean o/L
Dixie normus
Ohm the stator windings (black to yellow) with bike off. Report back Edited January 13, 2016 by Dixie normus

Dixie normus
Hmm. Odd. That ohms about right. Is your meter on AC voltage when checking for voltage (engine running)?
sleeper06
^ check multi meter setting before you chase other parts
DESTRUCTIVE
Ya it's for AC I tried 3 different meters also with bike running
hoppedupandcutdown
I'll ask again, with the rest of the bike UNPLUGGED to isolate from a grounded out wire or switch? And manual says to check with a DC voltmeter, the bulbs are DC Yes, I know the stator puts out AC
DESTRUCTIVE
Hoppedupandcutdown, I have have the black and yellow from the stator unplugged right now. I checked AC&DC at the black and yellow wires and nothing. What to you mean by unplugged Edited January 13, 2016 by DESTRUCTIVE
Dixie normus
Check wiring. If wiring checks good and no voltage out of stator leads. Bad stator.
DESTRUCTIVE
Ok I just bought it from eBay so maybe that's why. Is there a good place to get a stator for my bike
