DESTRUCTIVE
My lights were not working so I thought I had a bad stator so I replaced it installed new one and I have no voltage to my lights still. Wires from stator on the bike right now(new stator) Yellow to Black from stator I have 0.2-0.3 White/red to white/green I have 117 Green to Red I have 13.9-14.4 Not sure what else to check made sure all grounds are good and even check to make sure the flywheel is grounding good. Any would be great thanks
hoppedupandcutdown
so you've put voltage to the bulbs? most popular problem is bad regulator and blown bulbs
DESTRUCTIVE
My brake light bulb is good my fronts I have disconnected since they broke when I crashed a while ago. But I have no voltage going to any of lights. Is there a way to test the voltage regulator
hoppedupandcutdown
a stock voltage regulator just regulates the voltage, if you have more than 16.3V@8000rpm volts, it ain't working. Edit
hoppedupandcutdown
what volts do you have at the yellow and black bullet connectors coming off of the stator with the bike running?
Keno
My brake light bulb is good my fronts I have disconnected since they broke when I crashed a while ago. But I have no voltage going to any of lights. Is there a way to test the voltage regulator Use a DMM and check the voltage from the regulator
DESTRUCTIVE
I have no voltage at the yellow and black wires coming from the stator with the bike running, with a DMM I have tried 3 DMM just to make sure it wasn't a DMM. Is it possible that the stator I bought is bad
DESTRUCTIVE
Keno I have no voltage from the regulator and the ground is tight
hoppedupandcutdown
If you have no voltage from the Yellow and Black bullet connectors when unplugged from the rest of the bike, and it shows the proper .2 to .3 ohms, and it runs, I'd say your lighting side on the stator is bad edit: but I can't see having two with the same problem
hoppedupandcutdown
My brake light bulb is good How about the tail light element?
Keno
Listen to hopped, I was thinking rectifier. if there is no voltage from the black and yellow when running, that part of the stator is bad.
DESTRUCTIVE
Ok thanks for your info I will get a new stator any place you recommend. The fly wheel doesn't have anything to do with making voltage while the bike is running does it. I even checked for voltage at the wires for the brake light while bike is running and nothing
hoppedupandcutdown
I'd look close at your stator(s) for a broken wire
hoppedupandcutdown
nevermind, wouldn't ohm resistance if it had a broken wire. Still odd you have two with the exact same problem
DESTRUCTIVE
The one I bought was from ebay not sure if that's why it's not working or if something else could be wrong. Does the flywheel have anything to do with the lights while the bike is running
