tyler_broder
Hey guys I'm new to this forum and I was hoping someone on here could help me? I have a 97 banshee that was rebuilt fully 2years ago. The last time I rode was the fall/15 and the last ride. It bogged right down and had no power, so I parked it till I had time to work on it jan/16 and I figured out there wasn't much spark only every 3 or 4. Kicks so I changed the coil and no difference so I changed the cdi to a dynatek fs and lots of spark and starts 1 or 2kicks but when I Rev it mid to full throttle it boggs right down and no power. I changed th jets from 240 to 200 a back I also changed the needle from mid to top and bottom and back I played with the idle air and needle screw and no difference compression is 120 both sides. It's also smoking more than it was in the fall and also spitting out browish black oil from t exausht so I pulled the heads and the gaskets and everything Is fine? Can anybody help me solve what Is causeing the bogging in the mid to high rpm? Any help would be very much appricate. I mis 40:1 she'll prem like always my plugs are a little blackish. The shee starts and ideals perfect piliots jets
Bennett131
Are they stock carbs? What are your mods? 200 I belive is the stock main jet size, so if you have any pipes or anything like that it is now way lean.
tyler_broder
Stock carbs a 240 , a 25 piliot I'm also located in cold lake alberta. The 240 main jets worked perfect all summer long dark brown plugs. Stock pipes
Bennett131
Well since it's cold out right now, it makes more sense to go up in jets not down.

fastbanshee8
Go up in jet size when it gets colder, not down in jet size. Cold air is denser than hot air, so it requires MORE fuel, not less.
