Mdemco
I ride all dunes on a 70 hp bike with +2+1 LSR arms and Fox Floats with reservoirs. Pretty happy with it right now, but am starting to notice the rear bottoms out and the bike likes to buck over whoops. Currently running a +6 swing arm, and was going to go back down to a +4, but will eventually go to a 4 mill Serval setup and have decided to stay at 6. So, with my rear shock, I am reading up and trying to decide if it should be sent out and re-built re-valved, or if I should just spend the extra few hundred and get the Fox Podium shock. Most of the threads are older, and a lot say to rebuild, but currently there seems to be more options on a replacement rear for not much more dough. I have had several of these bikes over the past decade, and this is going to be my last, all out, build it the way I want it bike. Any opinions? Money matters, but it doesn't long term, I really like this bike. Who is the current go to guys for having the rear built? Thanks
locogato11283
I have two Fox Podiums. They're worth every penny.

sheerider11
I run a rebuilt rear. Just this past Sunday I was out riding. We were running WFO through whooped out fire roads. Guy next to me asked about my rear shock. Said it looks like it's just sucking up everything. I haven't had a complaint with it. And he said it looks good so I'm happy with it. locogato11283
Is fox normally 2x more than shaws? I'm not sure on Shaw pricing but I know they're fucking junk. If you want to ride a bike with basically no suspension that rides and bucks like shit, Shaws are perfect for you.
locogato11283
The key to the Fox Podium is that has a ton of adjustment. For example, I run the same shock on my hillclimb bike with a +8 arm and also on my drag bike with a +14 arm. I can dial in the pre-load, compression and rebound for either application. I have run rebuilt stockers, Elka Stage 3 and Stage 5 and nothing comes close to the adjustability of the Fox Podium, nothing.
Bennett131
Glad I got a podium then, haven't messed with it yet though.

My stocker I can do all that, but it doesn't change much. Still only valved and sprung for a stick length

registered user
I'll be in the market for suspension on a sand drager with +10 rear arm in a few weeks. Is float3 the least expensive fox setup that would work ?

registered user
Is there not various lengths to choose from? I checked fox site but it doesn't say much about that stuff
