maggdog
I know that a cut head add more compression, i would like if i can cut the head maybe to .020 or is unecessary for my shee, has a full fmf exhaust and jetting (main 280, 25 pilot), .050 piston, not port job, stock reeds and cages. 20 - 40ft @ sea level
tfaith08
Is this because of current budget or do you have some other bias towards a shaved head as opposed to a head with interchangeable domes? I'd personally save up for a head that uses interchangeable domes. Chariot, Pro-Design, or a Noss Machine head are all good options. If you upgrade down the road, you can still use the head and just buy different domes without having to have the head modified further. maggdog
Well yes is for current budget, and because i have 2 stock head, one working right now and other that not use and i think take this and shaved but i keep your idea is very true... And back to my question, affects my engine to change the domes 22cc to 19cc or shaved the head? On that sea level?
trickedcarbine
Milling is ok... But having the head rechambered would be far more ideal. It actually creates a new combustion chamber with a better shape and squish band. You could even send your spare head to Driveline and have it machined to accept domes. n2otoofast4u
If you're just looking for a bit of performance, fuck all them domed heads. Too many fucking orings and shit to deal with for the average guy just looking for a bit of improvement. Send a stock head to MULL, buy a new head gasket, install modified head, go ride.
