themechanic
When I tried to put my k&n pod filters on, the stock air box mounts dig into the filters, but they are welded to the frame, what do I do?

gusto
I didnt know you would have to cut the tabs. Would a shorter filter work?
themechanic
I'll cut them tomorrow , I just wanted to make sure that's what people were doing Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
themechanic
I sliced them at the frame with a Drexel, so they can be re welded easily if need be , they fit perfect now thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
vrx46
I only cut the pegs off of mine, the square mount is still there incase i need them for a different setup, but i think most pod guys do away with those also Thought of this idea earlier, I didn't chop my air box mounts before powder on the frame. Figured just cut the pegs, drill and tap a hole. Did you still have enough room for the pods with the squares in there?
sleeper06
I just cut the pegs unless someone brings me the chassis before powder my normal project usually is something that's just got fresh powder and owner can get it together thought it would be no problem and essy
themechanic
I ended up removing the square and peg, just used abut of paint on it. I never ride in mud or water so it will stay with the pods
camp0429
As long as your not using it for a jet ski, mud will not be a problem with your pods
