sleeper06
Deto can cause it in some cases , compressing anti freeze there's many things that can collapse a skirt
Buster91dg
It's a used top end and the crank is a brand new lower end kit from Wiesco. Pistons are in great shape
Buster91dg
I don't know the history of the piston and cylinders they wernt burnt or anything
sleeper06
But there used? You would never visually see a collapsed skirt I'll guarantee its fucked up, they don't sound like that when all parts are good and clearanced correctly. Ive worked on 100s of shee motors and come across it many times . A dial caliper and bore guage is need to properly check cylinder for outta round and clearances. Do you have any pre install pics
sleeper06
Don't be suprised if that wiseco crank fries the big end rod bearings I've seen 11 bad big end rod bearings in the past two yrs on relatively new cranks maybe they sorted out the issue I did email them on it
Buster91dg
Really what do you recomend that I do I thought for sure that it was the crank being out of balance and a collapsed skirt what exaclty is that it not a visible thing
sleeper06
You will never visibly see a .003. Collapse but you just doubled your recommended piston wall clearance therefore they chatter , take it to someone who has the tools to check it proper. Buster91dg
Ok say if it is bad what would you recomend? And do you think the crank is out of balance or it could be the top end and could I just have my cylinders bored a little bigger to fix the problem
Buster91dg
And is it ok to ride on Sunday before I tear her down
ShrpShooter
Mine has the same rattle and has a fresh bore and brand be set of weiscos from HJR when my port job was done. What could it be with mine? Only does it around an idle but not riding or above idle. Mine doesn't make any noise but does make that slight buzzing raddle when it returns back down to an idle when it's free revving. Should I be concerned? Don't really remember it buzzing/riddling before my 4 mil and other mods. Edited December 18, 2015 by ShrpShooter
sheerider11
Like I said, I believe it's piston slap. The only fix is a true bore to the new pistons. You can ride it, but if the bike comes to a griding hault and you can't kick it over dont be surprised.

sheerider11
Any idea on the price range just to bore the cylinders?Usually 50 a hole. But you're going to need new pistons. Go to a shop that has a clue tho. Also it may or may not be piston chatter. I can't tell from a video Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
