Looks like the plugs are not getting color as it's being washed away by excessive fuel. Typically a rich jetting condition or you're not getting enough spark. What is the total set up again? And what jets are in the carbs.

Ok so we have a 89 banshee bored .50 over stock reed cage with boyesen reeds fmf fattys w silencers. K&n filter no lid carb setting needle jet is 4th down from the top air screws 1.5out pilots are 30 and mains are 270. Doesn't seem to smoke as much at wot as it does from 1/4 -1/2 throttle

Everything works together throughout the circuit....

the needle actually effects pretty well the whole range and is crucial to have set up properly. a rich needle can cover up a lean main as well as a lean needle can cover up a rich main....

couple things that can throw off a small difference in smoke between the 2 pipes

Bad flange o ring or not as good of a seal as the other side on the flange / cylinders

pipe packing

carb settings

Idle adjustment

A/F screws ect... the list goes on...

Lean the needle by 1 clip and try again..

You can NOT read a plug by free reving the motor... the motor needs a load to get proper readings / plug color.

forget holding wot runs for now.... get that bike going through the rpm range smoothly... so do a few 5-6 gear runs testing a few different things ( needle settings) and see if it was clean up that little "hesitation". once you got that cleaned up you can start doing some wot main runs.

Those plug pics look ok ish for the most part... rich side for sure.... but doesnt mean squat. your low range can be reading spot on giving you a nice color while the needle could be rich and the main could be anywhere...

The ring of the plug should have color all around it.... usually when its "clean" or partially "washed" it means its rich somewhere in the circuit. USUALLY.

Ok thank you so that that would be moving the clip up which would lean it. And the needle is on the 4th clip down already so I'll have to put it on the 3 and then go from there
