mtsnieg
I was doing some wide open throttle plug shots yesterday cold weather here getting the Banshee set up for ice. Yesterday I noticed a small amount of oil coming out of the breather overflow tube Didn't think much about it figured it was over filled the little bit. I just got done doing a couple more runs and plug chops and went to check the oil And was air pressurized Not horribly but I can hear the pressure relief soon as I lifted the dipstick. That would bleed the clutch side Crank seal leaking correct? Engine only has a month or so on complete overhaul crank top end Seals and it passed the sound test perfectly then. Just looking 4 in but I guess I will Strip the pipes and carbs off to a leak down test here

hoppedupandcutdown
no matter what if your dipstick relieved pressure your vent hose isn't clear, if it has a low spot on a horizontal run, it could collect oil and not vent. mtsnieg
Just did a pressure test get 10 pounds in it and it pisses off of the clutch side crank seal bearing it sounds like until the gage gets down to six ounce then it hold steady six ounce bumper back up the 10 pieces out Down to 6 hold 6 pounds should i restart the sprocket with the spacer on that side seal maybe it came loose
mtsnieg
Pump it to 10# leaks till 6#. Then holds 6# no problem

mtsnieg
Tested and retested and retested anything about six and a half pounds at leats comes down to six and a half 6 pounds and hold steady Forever. Leaks out from behind the primary gear crank seal is this normal or is this okay. On my Honda and Suzuki two strokes are usually make sure they hold closer to 10 pounds for at least 5 minutes. I manually blown with my own mouth through all the vent lines for the tranny case and clutch case and they all breathe freely so that's not clogged. mtsnieg
Not sound test. Suppeset to be leakdown test, talt to text messup. can pump it up to 6# and it holds beautifully. Any more pressure and it blows right out the seal. till 6# then it holds.
possum
Are you sure its leaking from the seal and not the drive gear "keyway"?

n2otoofast4u
Do you have straight cut gears?
mtsnieg
I don't know if it's coming from the keyway. What would I use on it, Yamabond? How do I tell if I have straightcut gears? I will be at the shop later to check. Thanks, Matt.
