willaduncan
My HID ballasts completely burned out both sides in less than 3 hours... Idk what the problem was so I'm done with the HID hassle. I've been looking for LED options and found these has anyone used them and do they fit in the stock location without modification? I like the stock look so I'm trying to stay away from square ones Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

banshee#527
You need to use a DC rectifier with your HID's or LED's. Otherwise you'll burn them up too. Those are some bright LEDs. Where did you find them?

willaduncan
WOW! Rough crowd. You have been here since lunch and advising me on something I've already done. If you don't have the answer to my question then don't comment with your advice. Obviously if I'm running HIDs my shit is converted, also you don't have to convert to dc for LEDs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bennett131
Do you happen to have a link? Judging by the pics I'm guessing they are too wide to fit into the stock brackets.

They are too wide... I'm thinking of ordering 1 to see if I can mount it inside the stock buckets Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
willaduncan
just get a 1" bar stock, cut to length, drill out center for bolt and just weld the LED bracket to it. You now have mounts. Idk that the material is weldable could be plastic or aluminum and I definitely can't weld aluminum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
willaduncan
It is most likely aluminum, they don't use plastic housing on LED lights. Yea now we're talkin 50 bucks for lights then however much for someone to weld them for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BANSHEE CHAOS
I've got a 7" Chinese led bar on my Warrior. It's sorta like a bastardization of aluminum and pot metal. Willa could you use a cut off wheel and narrow down the pivot maybe? I agree the stock location looks best.
